I had uprotected sex back in May, and I did get an STD but I had it takin care of right away. Now we are getting into November and ive noticed tiny little red bumps on the base of my penis. I didnt think anything of it until recently. They dont hurt or itch, and Ithought that they might be a pimple and I managed to pop one, and it bled of course. Now I am getting all bent out of shape that these could be genital warts. I dont want to jump to conclusions or seem negative about it, but the position that they are at, and the way they look really makes me feel like I should just accept that these are genital warts. Is there a posibility that im wrong? And I am going to a clinic, but I want some opinions and advice first from people who have experience with this. And if these due turn out to be Warts from HPV, should I be devastated? I mean I know that HPV cant be cured as of yet, but it can be treated. But im so heartbroken that im goint to have it for the rest of my life, if I have it.
Should I feel embarassed and alienated from everybody? And I was soo depressed by this, that I actually for a little while lost my will to live. Am I over reacting? Should I feel like a freak? Will anybody ever want to be with me again? i feel so self conscious and hopeless. like this is going to change my life for the worse forever.

not alienated but you should get it checked out. if you shave it could be folliculitis. if not it can still be because curly hairs tend to do that. think of the same kind of bumps you may get when you shave a beard

I do not have an STD–but I can imagine how you are feeling..When I was at college, the Resident Doctor of my dorm called everyone down to the meeting room. He then showed us a slideshow of patients who had come to the college hospital. They all had an STD–and we saw photos of their genitals with sores, pus, bumps and all. Some students in the room actually ran out because it was soo shocking…After that, I made the decision to never have sex until I tested a man for STD’s and After he married me.
I am so sorry for what you are going through. Based on some photos I remember, I think you might have Herpes, not genital warts..Well, either way–this is the deal: 70% of Americans have an STD. So, the majority of hot girls you see have either genital warts, herpes, or something. So, you wont be a “freak’ as you say.
But you must be VERY HONEST with every girl before you have sex with her from now on..Herpes and genital warts can be caught EVEN WITH A CONDON ON–because its caught from skin-to-skin contact. So you MUST tell the girl that you have it. But you should still use Condoms because there is still HIV.
If it is Genial Warts, you must realize that its the leading cause of Uterine Cancer in women around the world..So, whereas men get Genital Warts and the symptoms can go away–with women, it stays in her uterus and slowly develops into cancer as years go by. If you infect a girl, she could die from cancer 10 years from now. So, this is very, very serious.
Your life is NOT over..You need to learn from this. Realize that it could be worse: you could have HIV. Now that would be awful…But, I would say that although I may sound “preachy”–God tells us to not have sex before marraige, and not cheat on our spouses–because of stuff like this. God tells us to do things that are GOOD for us in the long-run..Yeah, having sex seems so fun, fun fun, –to the point where people make fun of people who dont do it..But its not fun when you get herpes, genital warts, HIV, or an unwanted pregnancy…
If you feel bad still–get on your knees and pray. Ask God to come into your Life and to heal your body and your soul. Ask Him to Forgive you, love you, and to show you the way. He will. That is a PROMISE.

i know that it is very depressing but at least you cant die from it. there are a lot of ppl living with it. they’re is still hope in every aspect in life. keep a journal, communicate with others with it and try to stay possitive. stress can lead to an outbreak so try to not get stressed out.
get checked out and deal with it cause if you got it you got it…be glad your not a girl some of us had to get our uterus removed because it caused cervical cancer…i know i have it got it when i was raped almost twenty years ago…thank goodness i only had one break out
enjoy your life while you can…if you do have hpv tell every person you sleep with cause even with condoms it is still tranmittable…
